Enthusiastic thing in my life


I am really enthusiastic about education in my life because long time ago, my parents and my grandmother/grandfather were not have chance to go to school so, they were illiterate person. Even though they were illiterate person, they always encouraged me to become educated person because they lost their chance to get their education so they wanted to see me to become educated person. And also, I was really excited to get my education because I’m really wanted to become educated person in my life. For example, if I compared educated person and uneducated person are totally different their life and their living standard. Likewise, my parents are uneducated person so they did the hard work and also not easy to get the work. Therefore, I hopefully that in my life I might become education person and then whatever, I had learn and got the knowledge skills. I might help my community about the education department program because it’s very important for our generation to get their education and also I’m very enthusiastic to help my community to develop the education system.

I'm going to do for my community for in the future

Before, I attended in the “Wide Horizons” school. I was worked for a long time in my community and I had got a lot of experiences from that. But in our community we didn’t used to speak English language and didn’t used to write. And also we didn’t learn well about the “Project Management Skill” like in here. So, I hadn’t enough qualified English skills and project management skill to improve my education because I didn’t used to speak English language and didn’t used to write. Also I couldn’t manage well when I was working in the past time. So, I was very poor those skills. Right now I am having a good chance to learn those skills. Therefore, I hope that I finish this graduate in the “Wide Horizon” academic year, I have to come back to help my community for improving/developing more than before I worked because I already given commitment from our community to internships an least for one year before I’m attend in this school. Whatever, I got from many skills by the W/H School; I have to reply and have to share for our generation and for our staffs as much as I can. When I am arriving in our community whatever, work my leader gives me position and me take responsibilities. I might do the best and might be replying my skills what I got form the W/H School. For example, if I’m working a normal teacher for teaching the students. I will teach many ways and many methods for the students to become interesting and understanding clearly what I’m teaching.

If you a zillionaire what will you do? How?

If I have a zillion, I have a dream that who is staying inside Burma of our ethnic and a person who couldn’t continue their education especially for poor families because mostly they parents couldn’t support their children to continue education so their children felt sad and drop out from the school and it’s bad affected for their education. As a result I will donate and supporting for them. Firstly before, I am implementations this project a bout to help the poor families inside Burma of our ethnic who couldn’t go to school and couldn’t continue their education. I will find trainer for train the staffs how to use “Gas Analysis” is meaning that actual condition and optima condition and “Questionnaires Skills/Interviewing Skills because those are very important things to survey to get real information from this situation. After they finish this training when they were receiving this skills. I will order these training to apply their skill what they got. At that time, they have to traveler many different places of inside Burma to member of staff serving at table to get real information from that. And then, when they got the real information from that. At that time they have to write report and have to send for me. When I received their report and was reading their report, in that problem is mostly they hadn’t enough school materials and they couldn’t pay school tax from the government. Accordingly, I have to donate and support for them what they need for a long term as much as I can. Before I came here, when I was working a long periods from my organization of KnED until to the last year. We always had discussion about it because inside Burma it really happened like this situation so we knew about that. About this problem we also had supported for them but we couldn’t support well for them. Therefore, if I really have a zillion, I will donate and supporting for our ethnic people who are staying inside Burma.

Solving the problem between ethnic groups and SPDC in Burma

If I am a president of USA right now, I have a dream that one day in Burma will become a federal democratic /a peaceful country. Because firstly, I will be publish of all real happen in the Burma news on the world to know a bout the Burma was not fair for other ethnic groups. And then, I have to pressure of all ethnics for negotiation to solve the problem on Burma is the best way with fair/equal solution. Second, I will be negotiating with the SPDC general Than Shwe, and NLD to get their agreement. And then, I will be discussing with internationals families to participation the activities to change on the Burma situation especially for ethnic groups to get their interdependent/peaceful country. Therefore, at that time there will no more discrimination between Burmese and other ethnic groups. And then, there will be a free economic system, a qualified education system, fair salary for all the workers, and have a chance to get a passport easily. Finally, the people from the Burma who had stated under the Burma-law controller, at this time they will be lives in peaceful their country.

Studying English
In the past when I was study in English, it’s the most important of my study and very interested to learn until now. I have been studying since I was in Primary school until to the post ten levels. But I didn’t learn systematically. For example a bout the essay and writing a paragraph I hadn’t learn well how to write step by step like we are learning in here. So, I couldn’t write by my own idea and I haven’t ever to practice to write like essay. But in grammar I had learn better than writing and had a practice to the test quizzes, and exam. Sometime, when I finished my study in high school my brother and I were practice in speaking English. Because I was real want to improve my English skill. But in my organization we didn’t practice to speak English just only used our mother language and Burmese language so I didn’t improve my English skills. However, I’m now studying in this Wide Horizons; I’m really having a good chance to improve my English skills. For the reason that, right now my teacher’s teaching a lot of English skills for us such as “Writing, Reading, Speaking, and listening skills. And our teacher could teach very well for us so I am really enthusiastic to study English and until today. Finally, English subject is the most interest studying and very useful for me.

Difference betweens Wide Horizons and my last school “Grading and Teaching Method”.

The last school when I was attended at the KnTTC (Karenni Teacher Training Center) for two years. In that school, especially train for teachers who want to be a teacher and subject coordinator. Right now I would like to comparing difference betweens WH and my last school at KnTTC (Karenni Teacher Training Center). Grading and teaching method are a little different to learning in here and my last school. First of all, in here there are grading from the beginning of the school to the last final exam. For example, teacher give a lot of different grading such as quizzes, participation skill, attendance, homework, test, and final exam. Even though we pass or fail. At that time, teachers are meeting with us face to face and evaluate which part is our weak point and we done well or not well. Teacher comment us and gave our marks. And which part is we need to improve more. As a result, It good benefit for us. My last school was grading a little different in here. They used to grading (continuing assessment, quizzes, attendance, homework, and final exam). Even we pass or fail those of exams teacher give (plus and minus). For example, If we pass those exams we will see our grade as (A+/A, B+/B, C+/C etc). At that time, when we finished our each semester exams, teachers gave us report cards but teachers didn’t meet with us one by one. Another one is teaching method. It’s very different teaching method in this WH school and my last school. Because my last school mostly teachers were following by text book. Thus, sometime student was boring. In this Wide Horizons is very different teaching method. In here, our teacher’s use a lot of different styles. Such as every class teacher changing styles. At that time, mostly student hadn’t boring and very exciting, and very interested. For example, every student are can participation, can using freely our critical thinking. Therefore, it’s very different between in grading and teaching method in this Wide Horizons and my last school when I was attended from that.

On Saturday, 19 September, we went to the teacher Brooke house and met with the MEF students. Firstly, we make new friends with them. At that time, I was very happy and very excited because I never meet with them before. It’s the first time for me. During that day, we choose some of their games and our games. And then, I was enjoyed with their activities and our activities that make me interested and also their drummer. In addition, they were very friendly with us and we were talking each other while we were eating together such as chicken and sprite etc. Finally, we had exchange with MEF students that’s one kind of relaxed my feeling with them. The last first semester, I understanding part is “Independent Clause and Dependent Clause in English class. Firstly, I was very confused a bout it. Because I never heard before what is Independent Clause and dependent Clause. At that day, teacher’s taught a bout it and explaining two or three times for us. So, I understudied a little. And then, teacher’s gave homework a bout it. At that time, I usually make mistake because I couldn’t divided well which one is IC sentences and DC sentences. After then, I tried to remember the formulas: Such as DC, IC. IC DC. IC. IC. For example: (When I was learning a bout the IC and DC, it was very confused for me. It’s DC,IC. Therefore, Independent Clause and Dependent Clause is my understanding the past semester.

Reflection for " Teacher Kelly" on wednesday lesson

If I have to meet with the community leaders, villagers, and workers for survey to get real information. I should have ability that such as “knowledge skills, sympathy, trustworthiness, tolerance, enthusiasm, dignity, honesty, and fairness, equity etc… Because those skills is very useful for me when I have to go survey with the community leaders, villagers, and workers. Before, I have learned theses skills from the teacher “Kelly” on the Wednesday. I had a few experience when I went to survey in my community a bout the education level in each section. At that time, I though that this characters I have already used some of characters according to my experience. But, at that time I didn’t know exactly a bout it. Now I have already learned specific from the teacher “Kelly”. So, I knew more than before I was worked in the past. All of the characteristics: my strong points are trustworthiness, tolerance, fairness, equity, and sympathy. Because, If I’m meet with the community leaders, villagers, and worker. At first, I have to build trustworthiness each other. And then, whatever, I discuss/do with them. I must keep tolerance, fairness, equity, and sympathy in my mind. Therefore, I stronger believe that these characteristics is real usefully for us next week when begin our community project.
These characteristics: I real need to learn/improve more these skills that such as “knowledge skills, courage, and good decision etc. Because, this is very important for me when I go to do that community project to reach my goal and to be success. I don’t have enough abilities this skill. I can’t get real information from that community. But now I just only request from the teacher at that time, I understanding what’s mean and what’s teacher teach. In the realistic, I can’t apply it. However, the next week we will have a chance to begin our community project. At that time, I’ll be applying these skills as much as I can what I had learned from that. During I am doing with that community leaders, villagers, and workers, if I don’t have enough knowledge skills, and don’t have good decision-making from that. I though that, I can’t do effective this activities when I meet with that. However, I need to using this skills and If I can’t successful to reach my goal. At that time, I will never step back it for our community project and need to reflection from that. And then, I believe that this is the first experience our community from that and need to adaptation until to success our goal.

My happiness day of my life

My happiness day was when I have got a new bicycle from my orphanage dorm leaders. Because, when I was young I was stayed at orphanage dormitory for around over 13 years ago. And then I was finished graduated grade 10th from that. When I was finished graduated grade 10th from that I was worked a normal teacher. At that time, I was teaching at middle school no-3 for one year. After then, I have to continue to study at KnTC (Karenni Teacher College) for two years academic. At that time, I got a chance to stay at orphanage dormitory. At dormitory, my responsibility was to look after and guide the children. Also, every day I needed to set off school early morning because my dorm was a little distance from the school. Accordingly, my dorm’s leader who loved me as their son bought for me a new bicycle to travel to school with it. Therefore, that day I extremely was so happy.

The most I remember of English class for this semester.

The most I remember of English class for this semester was presenting in font of the class. Before, we are presenting in font of the class. I was practicing many times with my classmates of our own group. Because, teacher will grade for our presentation, so I have to preparing well as I want to know my weakness and want to get high grade. A bout the presentation class, I was very interested to do it. Because, I need to improved more a bout presentation skill such as persuasive language, body language, enunciation, eye content, actively, speak fluently, power point, and persuasive to audiences. Wherever, I was presented in font of the peoples, I had confident to do it. But on a long period ago, I had just only used to “Burmese language and Karenni language”. And then, I didn’t used to spoke “English language” to present in font of the people. So, this is the first time for me to used English language and was very enthusiastic a bout my presentation. However, I had got a lot of things presentation skill from the teacher. So, we must use this presentation skill for the future. For example, when, I was presenting in font of the class. I knew a lot of my weakness from the teacher and also from my classmates. Therefore, I was very grateful for them. And then, wherever we have to present something we must use this presentation skill. It’s very useful for us and to persuasive to the audiences. Finally, I have to use step by step this presentation skill and will never forget to use it.

Before I arrived at Wide Horizons School, I didn’t learn well about any presentation skill .Firstly, when I arrived here, I have a good chance to presentation in front of my classmates and teacher. But when I have the first time presentation in school, I was very interested because I didn’t have a chance to practice like this. At that time I have a lot of weakness point a bout the presentation such as I can’t speak fluently, bad enunciation, bad body language, and lack of eyes content to keep audience interested. And I felt a little shy and worry a bout to presentation in front of the class. Because a long period ago anymore, I never used to practicing with English language for presentation. However, it’s my favorites to do it. And I love so much to teach and presentation. Thus, I really want to be a good teacher and a good presenter. Right now, I have a good teacher and our teacher taught a lot of many difference skills for us to improve our presentation skills. So, when I have practice for presentation in front of the class. It’s very interested for me to practices. After, I was presented in front of the class. I have got feed back of first presentation from my classmates and teacher. At that time I know my weak point how to improve more than before I done. And I would like to speak English very fluently. I would like to say thank for encouragement of my classmates and teacher. The last weekend I had learned a lot of proposal training vocabularies and two activities from that to analyze our monthly project proposal by divided three groups. We had to evaluate each group on our monthly project proposal of SWOT useful this activities and how to difference in the future. During the activity we had choose one of presenters to explain our proposal to another group and then we had to move to another group. When they were observing our project proposal they gave feedback for us, it’s including the proposal analysis five processes or not. After the activity we had know our project proposal writing skills what’s our weakness, and strength. So, we have to adaptation next project proposal writing might be clearly and specific information issue. Because, when we wrote the first project proposal we didn’t know how to use this vocabulary let to know donor and specific information issue what we need. So, I thought that this proposal training vocabularies are very useful for project proposal writing. When we were doing this activity I felt a little confused a bout it.

English Reflection Three

When I was living in my Camp I had never heard a bout Wide Horizons Program. At the end of the year I was working in my organization. My brother contact with his friends to get the Wide Horizons form so at that time he got this form and download for me from internet. When I got this WH form at first I didn’t want to take entrance exam because I thought I wasn’t clever enough and wasn’t qualified to attend in here. Before, entrance exam my brother always encouraged me to applied this form and he really wants me to continue to study in here. I thought when I was working in my organization I didn’t do very well my jobs and didn’t effective well for my organization. I also want to continuous my education to get more skills. So, I tried took the entrance exam. A few months later we took the entrance exam and I heard from the coordinator (Salai Tun Lin Aung) sent my email that he told me you have a chance to attend this WH school. I was surprised I successfully passed the exam.
At that time, I was very enjoyed to come here. Firstly, I arrived in here I saw all of my classmates were very smart and they had the conversation with me in English. And I thought I have become a student life again. There fore, I was very enjoyed with my study in here. In the WH school, I’m feeling very well because we were coming from many difference place and many difference ethnic groups. But we’re living together like a brother and sister and respect each other, help each other, and love each other. Especially for me, when teacher taught the English skill such as (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing Skills) I was very interested in the English class. When I was studying at grade ninth to tenth, I didn’t learn well a bout it because we didn’t had qualified English teachers in our camp. Likewise, I passed only grade tenth and I didn’t had a chance to continuous my studies. That why I’m weak in English skills such as (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing skills). Fortunately, at present I have got qualified English teacher and Project Management teacher who from USA and they can teach us many different method to make us easy to understand the lessons. Therefore, we don’t need to learn by hard a bout the lessons as we did in Burma student life.
It can be concluded that every activities and community project management at WH with we already finished earlier weekend make me very happy. However, sometime when I didn’t know the vocabularies that I couldn’t guess, I was so confused and feel sad but I decided that I’m going to try to use the skills that I learn from the teacher Brooke.

Before, I came here I worked for a long time in my community. There fore, I worked in KnED (Karenni Education Department) program as a staff of “Teacher” for three years and School Master for two years. When I was doing the School Master for two years every year I had received many students around four hundred students and also teachers around twenty-eight teachers. So, I tried management of my students and staffs to do well their jobs. But sometime I met the obstacle of student problem and also teacher problem. At the time I though by my selves it’s my weakness how to managed. However, I tried to solve the problem the best way and fairly for their. Because, in our Camp I didn’t have learned well a bout “Project Management Skills” to improve my self. And then, I didn’t have a good chance to learn more a bout it. Just only based a few time like workshop training. So, I though by my self I need to learn more a bout “Project Management Skills” and also “English Skills”. At the time I tried to take WH entrance exam. Fortunately, I successfully passed this exam and I got a chance to come and study here. There fore, I can say that I have reached my wish. Now, we was started our lesson around over two months. During around over two months I had learned a lot of “Project Management Skill” from the teacher Blake. When teacher though the project management lesson teacher had to used a lot teaching method because of the project management lesson is very difficult for us. And teacher wants the students need to know easily and understand clearly to memorize. And then, when teacher was teaching the lesson mostly teacher used to make activity connective with the lesson and during it activity teacher give a chance think freely to get information and discussion with our group to present in front of the class. When we presentation in front the class we got a lot experience from that. And then, teacher tough many difference topics around over two months. All the topics are very effective for me and very important for me to using in the future. But sometime when I was learning the lesson I met obstacle because some vocabulary are very new for me to understudy the definition. However, I know by my self much be try to get this skills. This skills are very helpful for us, and I hope that when we come back to help our community we might be use this skills. This skills are very useful for us.

Before I came to Wide Horizons School and right now difference

When before, I came to the “Wide Horizons” school. I worked for a long time in my community and I had got a lot of experiences from that. But in our community we didn’t used to speak English language and didn’t used to write. So, I didn’t have English skills to improve my education because also me I didn’t used to speak English language and didn’t used to write. So, I’m very poor to Speaking skill, Writing skill, Reading skill, and listening skill. And then I much try to learning more a bout it to improve for my English skills. In our camp we mostly used to speak Karenni and Burmese language and also used to write. So, I though by my self I need to improve my English skill, Project Management skill, and Computer skill. So, when I heard the Wide Horizons application form I tried to applied this program. Before, I test examinations for that I had a little preparing for exam. Finally, my outcome result is successful there fore I had got a chance to studying this program. Right now I though that I had many difference things. Because, teacher tough a lot of English skill how to write, read, listen, and speak. I had learned a lot of difference skill from the teacher and difference opinion from my classmates. Also, project management skill teacher Blake tough a lot of skills. I had a good chance to learn this school and those skills are very useful and very interested for me. I didn’t learned like this before, this is a good teacher and he always give a chance to thinks freely and to participate with our classmate. I hope that I finish this graduate I have to come back to help my community and I could be management by myself and moreover would management my community in the future.

Project Management Reflection

The last week teacher tough for us two part of the facilitator and another one is refugee peoples group. When we practicing activities about the facilitator and refugee group. There are more effective for me, because the activity is very useful for me and very interested for me interviewed each other. The first time when I was doing the refugee group I didn’t discuss well to asked and to given real information from them. The second time I had a chance to change the facilitator group so at the time when I discussion with refugee people they didn’t have organize/cooperate with us. Some are discussion with us to ask the questions and some are not interest. However, I tried to explain a bout the education fro them because they didn’t know a bout the education. I interviewed them ask questions to get real information and situation what they needs and what is problems. Sometime they asked dangerous questions for me some questions are I can’t answer for their but I tried to explain and patient for their. When I was interviewed the refugee peoples focus a bout the education. So, I had a good chance facilitator because I had learned from the activities many difference things and this activity is effective for me to get knowledge/ experience from that and also to be using in the future. When I went to observation the refugee peoples, I had got a lot of real information from that. The first things they didn’t have enough food to feed their children and they can’t send the children to get education. The two things are very important for their. They education level is very low and didn’t have enough school to get education. So, they need more school building for study. When I was doing the activities the time is not enough to discussion and interviewed them ask the questions. The lesson is very interested and very useful for me. I think that if we have real interview to the refugee peoples and migrant peoples to get information. We will meet obstacle from that. This is the first time for me facilitator to observation so, I didn’t understand clearly about it.

I worked for a long time in my community and got a lot of experiences from that. But I didn’t have languages skills such as English, Thai, Japan, China, etc: And I have a chance to be a leader in my community. However, I worked that I had lacked languages skills there fore I couldn’t improved very well my job and for my community. In that case, if I could speaking all languages super power. I could go to visit everywhere around the world. Wherever, if I want to go I could go because I can speak many languages. After that I will know all situations and many places of the world. In addition I will have a chance to meet with OBurma and we will discuss a bout Burma of situations. In Burma situations such as, democracy, ethnic problems, and other. For my ethnics peoples we had no a chance to participate with military regime and we want democracy and participate with them. At the time I will have a chance to discuss with OBurma and SPDC government give a freedom for every ethnic to come back in their homeland and their country. Then I will come back my country to share my knowledge and languages skills for my peoples. And I will be a very good translator to help for my community what they needs. Moreover I will share to generations who want to get languages skills. Then, I will make connective to the world and find the donor to support all our ethnic peoples to relocate their country. In that case, our country could be peaceful, calm and have ture democracy. So, my community will satisfy with their life.

Second project management “Reflection” lesson this weekend

This week I had learned about the topics of (Questionnaires, Difference between Photos friend Interview and Project Management Interview. I think that, when I had learned about this topics. All of topics are very useful. There before, I started my project I have to create interesting questionnaires to asking questions and to get true information what I needs. The first time when I was learning this topic it’s a little confused for me. During the class teacher’s given a chance to do activities with “photos friend interview and project management interview. In this result, I had use practicing with questionnaires. So, I was very interested to do this activity and become clearer than before. But, I didn’t usually used to interviewer, just only interviewee to given information what they needs. When we were doing activities to interview each other with my partner, there fore I had got experience from my classmates. But at for me, I little confused the difference between photos friend interview and project management interview. However, I think that when I come back to help my organizations I could be use better than before I worked.

Our "Project Managemet Class"

Our project management teacher, when teacher was teaching a bout project management in class. I was very interested a bout this. Because, it very important, and very useful for me to help my organization to developing. If I have got this skill, I hope that I may be better than before was working. The last week when teacher taught the first “new vocabularies” lesson I didn’t understand very well. But teacher make role play activity to connective with this vocabularies so, it’s more clear for me. Before, the vocabulary quiz I little confused about it. When I finished the vocabulary quiz I understand more a bout the vocabularies definitions and synonyms works. So, the vocabulary is very useful for the project management.
The second lesson is “Needs Assessment”. Mostly, teacher explains a bout the needs assessment. I though that needs assessment is one kind of second project cycle to using our project. Because, we need to evaluation an environment in order what materials do I need/desire and collection information before we started. Sometime I didn’t understand well a bout these “needs assessment, evaluation, and reflection”. And I misunderstood a bout it. However, I have learned a lot of experience from the activities. So, how do I need to adept the next project? How do I need to assessment the project? When I was learning a bout the Gap Analysis, actual conditions and optimal conditions lessons. Before, we started the project we need to use this actual conditions and optimal conditions. But when I’m using it a little confused for me. So, I want to understand more about the lesson.

A bout my experience.

"My Biography"

I'm Baw Reh Htoo also know as Plue Reh. I am now twenty-five years old. When I was young, I was very stupid in school nearly every time, everywhere and everything to my teachers or friends. At the moment, my behaviors are not like from that long period ago anymore. They are mostly had changed and I indeed have to change them to become a good person in the future.
Firstly, I had just finished my lesson from grade ten in high school on April 1st 2003. When I was a student my objective is to be a "Teacher" so as after I was finished my lesson there, I worked in KnED (Karenni Education Department) program staff as a "teacher". When I was a teacher, my jobs are the same my lovely teachers. Therefore, I realized that if we are teachers we need to have (three criteria's). Like a Benevolence, Commitment, and diversion. At that time, I was teaching in middle school number three and served there for one year. Then, I had continued to studying in KnTC ( Karenni Teacher Collage ) school for two years. I finished my lesson from school again and came back to teach in "high school". The last two years my position is as a normal "Teacher". Right now my position is a "Head Teacher Performance in "Co-High school number four". In "Co-High School number four", I have been working there for two years. In coming year, I may have to work higher level of "Primary Coordinator Program", but not sure about it. As the reson, it's not successful to become a higher level. However, if I'm work I can take responsibilities for that. At the same time, I thought that when I was working in my organization I had got successful to reach my goal. But I thought by myself I didn't have enough qualified to do well my jobs. So, I heard a bout "Wide Horizons Program" in Mae Sot. At the time I tried to apply this program. Therefore, I passed the exam. Now I have a chance to attend at the "Wide Horizon" program. So, I'm now studying in this year and I'm very enjoying with all of my lessons. Finally, If finish graduate in this school and If I have got a lot skills from that. I might be come back to help in my community what they need and what they want? So, I hope that I might be better than before in working. So, in this situation I didn't apply to "Third Country" such US or other countries. Because I have to continue to help my community. Also for our generation of education in the future.
